About Me
I earned my Ph.D. in Economics from Florida International University (FIU) and am currently a NIST-GWU-PREP Post-Doctoral Researcher at The George Washington University. My work bridges economics, engineering, and climate resilience, addressing critical global challenges.
Research Focus
My research focuses on three key areas:
Environmental Impact Modeling: Analyzing how extreme weather events affect ecosystems, infrastructure, and communities.
Housing and Insurance Market Analysis: Examining the economic consequences of extreme weather on housing markets and insurance sectors.
Climate Risk Mitigation and Resilience: Developing actionable strategies to enhance climate resilience, particularly in vulnerable U.S. coastal regions.
Interdisciplinary Approach
By combining economic theory with engineering solutions, my research provides insights that drive practical, real-world policy changes. I focus on creating strategies that are not only theoretically sound but also implementable, bridging the gap between research and real-world applications.
Looking Ahead
I am actively pursuing a Tenure-track Assistant Professor position at a research university or liberal arts college/university. My goal is to continue leading impactful research, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, and mentoring the next generation of scholars committed to tackling global climate challenges.
